I am a Chinese. My Canadian teachers are often surprised by the fact that a lot of Chinese students does not have any religious belief. For them, it seems like a person won't have any ethic without religion but sometimes, at least in oriental countries, ethics have various resources like Confucian philosophies. Do westerns think that all of their ethics are based on or originated from religions? Do u think it is good? [please don't bring communism stereotypes up, thanks.
