Colossians 2:9 says in the New King James Version: "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." The word translated "Godhead" (theotes) refers to the essence of Deity. Doesn't this verse teach, then, that Jesus can be referred to as God Incarnate?

Jesus is not God.
John 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
Ephesians 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
Jesus didn't know the divine mystery. If Jesus had been God, John 4:22 would have been a lie, and God can not lie.
John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
The trinity doctrine contradicts those verses. That is why churches that teach the trinity discourage studying the bible, declaring that church tradition is of higher authority than the word of God.
Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Colossians 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
The English word 'image' is the Greek word 'ikon'. Everybody who uses a computer knows what an icon is. The icon is not the program, but when you click the icon you get the program. In the icon dwelleth all the fulness of the program bodily. But if you were to try to tell people that the icon is the program, they would consider you addled. Jesus is not God, he is the son of God.
You only need five books to study the bible:
1. A King James bible. Other versions are ok, but the KJV has been stable for 400 years and the others have not.
2. An English dictionary.
3. An Interlinear Greek-English Translation Of The New Testament, any brand.
4. An exhaustive concordance. There are several brands, but everybody seems to use Strong's. I like Young's because it is easier to use.
5. A Hebrew lexicon, if you study the old testament.
Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians.
The bible makes it crystal clear that Jesus is not God. Over and over the bible refer to Jesus as God's son, the only Begotten, God's spokesman, and other titles. Let's look at a few scriptures that specifically shows Jesus and God is two different persons and that Jesus never wanted or accepted worship that rightly belongs to his Father :
1)The angel said of Mary at Matthew 1:21,22 'She will give birth to a Son, and you are to name him Jesus. All of this actually came about to fulfill what was spoken by God through his prophet.' This shows that God is the one who cause Mary to conceived Jesus by means of Holy Spirit. So according to this verse, it's no way Jesus is God.
2) When Jesus was nailed on the stake to be put to death he called out with a loud voice to his Father at Matthew 27:46, 'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Jesus was reaching out to his Father, clearly showing he himself was not God.
3) Jesus himself made it clear that he is not God at John 20:17, 'Jesus said to her, "Stop clinging to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God." This surely does not sound like he is God. In fact he directs our attention to God and not himself.
4) God and Jesus are clarify at John 17:3, 'This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.' Can it be any clearer than this that Jesus is not God? For God himself says to gain everlasting life we have to take in knowledge of him God and of his Son Jesus Christ.
