I was treated for cardiomyopathy last year and had an EF of 45%. I have a lot of symptoms and referred myself to a cardio doctor. I was on two kinds of meds for 6 months, got my EF back to 67% and was taken off the meds. The doctor gave me a 6 month echo a few weeks ago and received the results yesterday. My heart is weakening once again and EF back to 45%. I was put back on the medicines and have to do more testing in 3 months. Just wondering if this will get worse and how quickly. I am 40 with MVP, a non-smoker. I exercise daily but overweight with thyroid problems.

cardio heart failure there is a sydrome can be broughton muscle damage the heart muscle damage it canbecome week patients with congestive heart failure normally have other things wrong with them multi specialtiesthe left ventricle becomes enlarged and does not pump as efficiently so its very possible you could have one then mabe the other but your doctor would have to diagnose that before you would actually know
