I hit a huge manhole after going over some rough railroad tracks. There was construction on the street; and after going over the tracks.. WHAM! I hit the manhole super hard and my car started immediately smoking. After this, my car started skipping and not taking off right away after a red light, or after I would break. Eventually, it wouldn't go at all and I had to pull over and call a tow truck. My car starts, no problem; it just will not go forward or backwards. It was early in the morning, so I couldn't tell what color the fluid was, but I did notice some leakage after it got on the tow bed. My car is now in the shop after filing a claim with my insurance company. When I dropped it off and told the mechanic what happened, he said.. oh, that does NOT sound good. It has been a week and I have not heard back from the repair shop yet. I'm scared to call as I do not want to hear anymore bad news. My car is 2012 Nissan Altima coupe 3.5 SR V6. Does anyone know what could have possibly happened to it? Thank you for all who answer.
