I will be attending Michigan State University in the fall but since i am out of state i did not get much from FAFSA and i need it. Recently i found out i owe $26000 by the end of the year and i really need help. I had looked for scholarships earlier but i did not know where i would go aince im from Minnesota. The guy at the MSU financial aid office was very negative and pessimistic and he kept encouraging me not to go to college when my dream has been to go to a school like this. Any help is appreciated and if anyone knows of any easy scholarships that may apply to me evwn this late please let me know. First payment is due October 1.
Does anyone know of any scholarships for either hispanics, college freshmen or anything at all?

A couple of things. Go back to the MSU financial aid office and ask to speak to someone else - and let a supervisor know of your negative experience. These people should be helping and encouraging you! If you are still in school, any loan money (Sally Mae) should be deferred until you get out of school and get a job. Good luck to you.
