Does america have links golf courses?

Links golf courses are not endemic to a specific area, but rather define a design of a course. America has several great links courses (Pebble Beach Golf Links, Whistling Straits), as do many countries outside the UK and Ireland. South Africa, Mauritius and Australia all have links courses.
