I woke up to a loud bang thought it was a gunshot and took cover untill it was silent but when I heard it I felt dead like if the bullet hit me except there wasn't a bullet or a wound I had a flashback of me in Afghanistan. Please I need a answer.

Yes, it could be that you have PTSD if you have these dreams frequently. Maybe speak to your doctor about getting some counselling to help you work through it?

Yes. Sounds like you have PTSD. Shellshock is another word for this kind of reaction as well. People who fought in Vietnam got this all the time. My uncle has it and he can't stand any kind of loud noise at all. He doesn't even go out to watch fireworks on Independence Day.
