Do you know somewhere that beginner can take part in a musical theater in Washington DC area?

Hi! I am a college student who lives in DC. I am looking for an opportunity of getting involve a musical theater.
I don't have much skills of singing or acting, so it may be difficult to pass an audition of professional or community production.
Do you know the place that beginner can join the performance in DC area?
I feel OK to pay some money.
(in addition, I don't have a car. )
