Im 12 years old and I really want to teach my self gymnastics. I started with a bride/backbend But It strains me if I take my head up too much, Do you have any order to do things? Things that will help me create a simple routine? Thanks!
Do you have any tips and tricks to teach myself gymnastics?

I am a gymnast so I know a lot about gymnastics. I strongly recommend taking some classes, it will improve your skills and be a LOT easier! First thing you need to do before starting skills is stretch. I know everyone says stretch and its boring but you will regret it when you do a roundoff-backhandspring before stretching your wrists (me(:). Also watch videos. Start off easy by watching tutorials on how to do the skill you want to complete. Also don't jump ahead to one skill when you haven't mastered the small parts to the skill. Like a backbend, start off with getting your bridge, mastered. Then learn to slowly follow your hands down into bridge (I would start with spot of course). A tip to help get your backbend is to walk your hands down a wall until your hands are onto the ground. If your neck hurts when you do the skill try to put your hands before your head in the skill and your head should natural follow your hands. If it still hurts move on to a different skill. If you need any more tips just ask! Also check out my questions!
