I'm a 13 year old girl but I can read/write at a high school level.
1. How often do you get writer s block?
Every time I pick up the pencil, or the tablet, I feel a fog settle over my head.
2. Has an event(s) in your life effected how you write/view writing?
I just incorporate the pain of loss, the joy of love, the terror of nightmares, and the uniqueness of stupid decisions into my stories and no one realizes that I've gone through these things.
3. What kinds of writings do you do?
I write fanfictions and many fictional stories with a modern setting that often include failed romance and unhappy endings.
4. What do you do when you experience writer s block?
No joke, I whack myself in the face. If nothing comes to mind then, I stop what I'm doing and practice my French Horn. Something about the music and thought I have to put into that clears my head and lets me put new and creative things on my paper.
5. How long does your writer s block usually last?
If my first method works, twenty seconds at the most. If it doesn't, I've gone months without writing a single word because the words wouldn't come out.
6. How does writer s block affect your writing?
Ironically enough, my writing is often better because of it and it's much deeper with more reflection.
1. Not predictable. It happens from time
to time.
2. My life has been a series of events
and experiences!
3. Stories of people's lives. Includes romantic
interests, mystery etc
4. Walking or Playing music. Sometimes it's
best to avoid it altogether and work instead.
5. Some WB lasts only a few hours. But it could
be days..
6. I can't write!
After WB, I always return to writing, with
a new fervour. It always gives me a new
perspective and energy to write.
Thank you so much. I am doing a research study. Could you please answer these questions too if you don't mind? Thanks!
