The term science career sounds fairly broad, I'm aware.
Whether we're talking theoretical or practical disciplines within different branches of scientific research,
I want to know how much of a negative impact a tattoo could have on sb's chances of getting hired.
From what I gather, interactions with customers are either minimal or virtually non-existent, with few exceptions (e.g. pharmacy) - so if it lacks that sort of social aspect , would having any tattoos be bad for your career....???
Do tattoos pose a threat to a potential science career..?

It is probably more or less the same as other jobs, try and get a tattoo where you can cover it up so like not on your face! if you are a guy and you were a long sleeve button up and dress pants you can pretty much get tattoos any place but neck face and hands. for an interview always go on the side of caution and cover as much as you can once you are hired and have an idea what the company is like than they may be ok with tattoos showing. I just recently saw a picture of some science geek covered in tattoos but he was also a genius and invented something fancy so his skill may out weigh the dislike of his tattoo when it comes to his job options.
