Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon) believe in the Bible (Old and New Testaments). They believe in Jesus Christ, and believe that the New Testament account of his birth, ministry, death, and resurrection is a true account of historical events. They believe that, as foretold in the Bible, the Lord will return to the earth as King of Kings.
Where the Mormon belief differs from "traditional" Christians is in what happened after the time of the New Testament. Mormons believe that the Church fell away during the first two or three centuries after Chirst, and that the teachings of the Lord were generally corrupted.
Mormons believe that the teachings of the LDS church have been restored by the Lord through modern prophets, beginning in 1820, and believe that these restored truths will lead all who follow them into the kingdom of God.
