Do job applications usually ask if you've been convicted or only convicted of a felony/misdameanor?

Yes they do that and they ask you to explain your answer if you was to answer yes to that it is something they have to ask. And they want to see if you will include it in your application for employment cause if they do a back ground check it would show up then if you didn't put it on there its like lieing and you wouldn't get the job.
