Do IFB air conditioners are good?

Air conditioning was my business. Journeyman level. Most portable air conditions are similar in operation.
A new style came out which sits on the floor, instead of being in the window frame. One of the best is built by LG. The others are likely the same except they use a different faceplate.
When installing the air conditioner into the window frame, be certain not to tip the box. Keep this level. This is often the reason air conditioners fail.
The last point is to know how big your room is. Buy for that size of room. Many go cheapest model but an undersized air conditioner will not last the decades of life they should have.
Last point. There is a filter on the side be sure there is access to be able to clean the dust. Clean often.
