Do I need just a highschool diploma to be a vet assistant or do I need to go to school?

For almost everything medical you need a college degree, it just depends what degree. For an assistant I don't think you need a full 8 year degree but you might need a 4 year one. Look into where you might want to work then see their standards and go to school accordingly.
