I'm looking to buy one, and I want one for Christmas, but I don't have any gaming PC, so I was wondering if my Mac Mini will do it or should I just give up.

Macs do not play games, that is the bottom line.. yes, they have games, yes you can run an emulator but they simply are not game machines. If you want to play high end games you will need a decent PC gaming rig. It is expensive, no denying it but it pays for itself in that the games are far cheaper and far better than anything you can get for any console and anyone who tells you diffferent is a liar :)
