For example, you have been there longer than someone and the managers are always saying that you are the best in your job.. but apparently they want someone else to train the new hire that has been there a shorter amount than you have. During work, I keep to myself and focus on my own work

You may know the job but you are not necessarily a team player. You don't work with others, offer to help, or show a sense of camaraderie. People who train are warm, open, easily accessible. Avoiding the rest of your co-workers doesn't help you look part of the team.
