I really want to become a game animator, only instead of ''creating'' and ''painting'' I want to focus on the movements and expressions of the character.
Is that possible?
Or is the job I described something else instead of a game animator?
Do game animators create the, for example, ''Character'' themself or are they just moving it?

Animators often just code and create a skeleton in which the character textures and "skin" are then applied to. The skeleton is then instructed to move according to the animator's coding.
Of course it's all part of the art department of a game development company, you have the texture guys, the painting guys, the animators. Though a lot of these people have skills that overlap with each other and many often dabble in the other areas as well.
Almost everything that has to do with computers runs on programs and lines of computer coding, like C++ and whatnot. You should really consider looking at going to a programming/technical university for more training on your interests.
May I ask what you mean by ''code'' ? It's the first time I hear about it.
Or do you mean with code moving the object/character?
So they only create the skeleton and don't skin it? Because the skinning/painting was the only thing that was kinda letting me down.
