Im not going to lie or mislead u and tell u I know the answer because I dont but I can tell what I do know. First every state is different so make sure what u do find out pertains to the state u live in. Second if ur children r in child protective services then yes they can speak to them do to the fact ur parental rights have been revoked. I dont believe(but I could be wrong) they have the right to go on a fishing expedition for know reason. There has to be probable cuase to launch an investigation. Age may matter. If the child is older u may be able to request that u r there when they speak to them or request a lawyer to be there. Its been many years but Ive had my own dealings with CPD. If there is one thing Ive learned it would be to take detailed notes on everything and anything. Ask questions. Dont sign anything without first reading it over and make them explain anything that u dont understand. Find out what your rights are as a parent because they will assume u dont know and use it to their advantage. Inform the school or any where else u think is important that u do not authorize or permit ur child to be spoken to without u present. Put in writing any request or complaint u have. Dont settle.- If u have an issue do something about it. Last but not least- make them accountable. Hold them to everything they say and no matter what dont give in or give up. Good luck
