Pulsating? Do you mean vibrating? It's obviously an engine fault, could be the head timing is off or the fuel/air mix is off.. try cleaning the air filters and check the exhausts are clean. You might also want to check that their are no contaminents in the fuel as that can cause choking in the engine.
Sounds like a problem with the fuel injector maybe or a slack rod/chain for the gas pedal.. needs some guys to look at it properly, my advice.. down the garage with it.
When idling the engine speeds up then slows down and keeps doing the same thing over again and again.
