My parents never taught me basic life skills, I had to either learn for myself or from someone else about it. As far as I can remember my parents were always busy with work or didn't really like encourage us to learn what we need to learn when we become adults. They don't work on the weekends but yet they still were always busy in some way, shape, or form. Don't get me wrong I have wonderful parents and they raised me well but I don't know why it bugs me so much that they didn't. I guess it's because Im a person who's dying and eager to learn and experience new things. Is it normal to have parents who didn't teach you the basic life skills you needed as an adult?
Did anyone else have parents that didn't teach them life skills?

In some ways yes. For example your parents are rich, you have a maid, then you won't be taught that much about life skills. So as having busy parents you can't blame them for not teaching you, as you know they are busy. There are also many ways to lear life skills, but if I were you the earlier your body gets use to the life skills the lesser problems you will have if you have a family or a love one. Many quarrels start from simple stuff so get over those simple stuff and you will see things will change for the best. If you ever want to learn some life skills I would advise search youtube or google.
Hoped I helped.

Some people are simply unaware of those things. My father's father moved to a remote farm in Utah and his wife left him, so my father grew up neglected. My mother's mother died in the flu epidemic of 1918 and her father split up the family. She was raised by a sister who didn't really want the responsibility. So these two raised eight babies with no clear idea of how it was supposed to be done. I watched movies to try to learn how normal people acted. You can go to thepiratebay.org and search the videos for "195*". That will get you all the movies released 1950 to 1959, the era of good taste. Then you can read "Miss Manner's Guide" to learn the finer points.
