Dating guy in America, never met but we have talked a lot on Skype and fb, he was recently diagnosed with Lung cancer stage 4 - it is legit, my parents think it's a waste of time and money if I go there. I haven't got enough money yet but I'm saving and selling some of my things to help get the needed funds. Is this crazy? I'm I kidding myself? What should I do?

If you think it's right and you really love him, then do it. It shouldn't matter what anybody thinks if it makes you happy.
There are, however, some things you should be careful of when meeting someone in real life that you met on the internet. You should meet him in a public place and spend a couple of days/weeks getting to know him and trust him better. Don't just go anywhere with him because you think he won't hurt you. You don't know what he could really be like. If possible, take a friend with you.
I hope this helped you and I'm sorry if it offended you at all, but I just wanted to make sure that you're safe with the decision you make.
I was engaged to a guy in America and i listened to my parents and it broke my heart and I'm still not over it, so girl do it. He has lung cancer and if you are in love then he will want to see you as much as you want to see him no matter how much it is, isn't supporting someone you love more priority than the opinions of others.
