When you say "mixer" are ya talkin about a PA Brain (powered?) or a just a non powered mixing board (analog) or USB digital mixer?...Yeah , stompboxes are famous for their noise anyway so gettin the right ratio of level from your stompbox vrs the level from your Mixer vrs the INPUT level of your Interface has always been a challenge here in my lil studio as well....Im still analog all the way up to the AD/ DA converter stage... I interface via RCA IN (OLD soundblaster breakout box....LOL) AND use a powered PA brain to come OUT of so if anybody is just askin for noise, its ME....BUT, when using my digitech RP250 (analog patching), I set the VOLs pretty high comin out of the pedal so to get a good (FX) signal , then IN to channel 4 of the brain with the vol on 3.5, then the INPUT REC level of the soundcard all the way up and that seems to give me the best IN /OUT/IN ratio...Now, I havent tried an older analog pedal like yours but Im sure theres a way to get all 3 levels to "play nicely" with one another...BUT! A DI box would likely drop your resistance ALOT and you could go IN to the interface XLR....BUT again, I think you would still need to get all your IN and OUT levels matched up...I mess around with all 3 levels first and see what ya get....Cant hurt....
