Cuban love. Real or Fake?

Hi, 

I know a woman that is falling hard for a Cuban and I don't know if she is experiencing real love or fake love. She went to Cuba two months ago where she met a Cuban with whom she had such meaningful conversations and she fell madly in love with him. When she came back to Canada, the guy wrote her emails of how she was so beautiful and that he really loved her and so on. She decided to go back there a second time (two weeks later) where "the fire" was burning hotter than ever. She is now there a third time and the guy introduced her to his family and is apparently saying all of the things she wants to hear because she is in a complete trance. In the process, she has also spent a significant amount of $ on the guy and he always replies with "I can not except this", but then he excepts it anyways. 

In her case it was a 25 year old Cuban that is in Cayo Guillermo. 

Anyways, if anyone hear has ever hooked up with a Cuban and got "scammed" by love, please write your story OR share your opinion on the subject.

Well if I'd just read the first half I would have said it was definitely 100% real. He does seem like a really sweet guy and those two definitely have a little something something going on... if you know what I mean ;). Haha okay enough joking around, overall he does seem like a nice guy. But at the end of this message you're writing "he's apparently saying all of the things she wants to hear because she is in a complete trance. In the process, she has also spent a significant amount of $ on the guy and he always replies with "I can not except this", but then he excepts it anyways." Which does turn this situation a bit around. 
Stuff like this is hard because you always want to belive the best in people, but you can never be too careful.
First of all maybe you should ask you self (and answer 100% honestly) are you maybe just purposely seeing the worst in him because you're protective over your friend? Or maybe you don't like that this friend has met someone in another country and she might move there? 
With that being said if you truly feel there's something fishy with this guy, you should tell your friend about it. At the end of the day honesty is the best policy right? (People say that... right?) 
But if you ask me this guy seems kinda fishy... But that might just be the way you wrote about him. Then again I'm a bitime inexperienced in the "hook up and scam by love" department, as you called it...
