I'm a freshman in high school, and I really need a job. However, most of the jobs I want to apply for require a diploma or GED. I was wandering if it is possible to get my GED now, only for employment, and continue to go to school and eventually get my diploma.

Yes, it is possible. You would have to get your GED first, and then get your high school diploma. However, you will need to first drop out of high school in ordr to be eligible to take the GED. Then you will need to enroll in high school again to get your high school diploma. But I am sure that you don't want to do this, because in the end, you won't be any better off with both credentials. Why don't you try to find a job that doesn't require a GED or high school diploma?
