i understand that the word opaque describes a non transparent object so if that is your answer than your not helping. just a plan and simple no would be more helpful.

Authors have used the word opaque in describing scents.
A writing called Reckless, by Erin Lyndal Martin (on NightTrainMagazine) includes the line "This is the opaque scent of summer you'd forgotten,..."
Eileen Drew's The Ivory Crocodile: a novel (1996) includes the line "I inhaled the opaque scent of my ..." [page 153]
Im not certain if these are descriptions of what something smells LIKE, or if they are describing the smell as somehow translucent. Hope that helps.
