Could I put the sim card from iPhone 5s, into upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 (both Verizon) and it work

It should work even of you change your phone. If it is not compatible with your phone you should go to a Verizon store and ask for the type of SIM card that Samsung Galaxy fit in (you can keep the same number)
