I caught a stomach virus around 2 a.m. on Wednesday morning, Im on adderll 20 mg 2x a day so my throat is very dry and I started having alot of drainage, lots of thick green mucus in the back of my throat that will not drain no matter what I do. It's so bad that I have to take my finger and get it out. Friday morning I woke up and my throat was sore, thought it was was from my throat being dry and the mucus getting stuck in it, that afternoon my voice was starting to get hoarse. This morning (Saturday) I woke up and my voice is almost gone, it goes from wispering to a little above wispering and from me moving my mouth and nothing coming out. As long as I dont talk I dont feel much of anything, but once I start talking it gets sore and starts feeling really scratchy. This morning I noticed a bump on the frenulum of my tongue and by this afternoon it was bigger and has a white top on it like a blister (very very very sore). I have 3 kids 3 years, 2 years and 4 months so its impossible for me to not talk and this after noon I was having to raise my voice over and over now I finally got every one calmed down so I dont have to talk, but now even when im not talking it feels really scratchy like I want to cough but im scared it's going to hurt and when I go to say something or make any type of noise it hurts so freaking bad. The very back top of my mouth, my throat and my chest feel scratchy and hurts so bad. Hurts to swallow and I can feel the scratchiness everytime I breath in and out even through my nose with my mouth shut. I feel as if someone is sitting on my chest. I dont know how to explain how it feels this might sound stupid, but it feels as if my throat hole isn't as big like it feels as if the air im breathing and voice are getting squeezed really hard as its trying to come out. My mouth and throat are so dry no matter if I'm drinking, eating ice cream or sucking on cough drops. My nose isn't stopped up or anything I can breath just fine through it. Since I have three kids, my husband works at night so he sleeps most days and I don't have a baby sitter it's so hard for me to go to the grocery store much less a doctor's office with them, so is there anything I can do to relieve this? Could this be laryngitis and if not what else would it be? I got my tonsils and adenoids taken out in 2009

I've had Laryngitis before and yes, pretty sure it's Laryngitis. What happens is the vocal cords get inflamed and cause a hoarse voice and makes it painful to talk, Laryngitis can be caused by a virus or overuse of the voice. As for the blister on your tongue, I have no idea what that is but I don't think it's anything serious.
