My mother and her father but have MS and epilepsy. I was telling my mom about how in sudden changes of temperature (picking up a cold icy glass, walking from carpet to cold tile floors) causes my palms of my hands and bottom of feet to get really red and itchy then suddenly swell up my mom said that's she gets that too and the doctors told her it happens because of where her brain is effected by her epilepsy. She also was describing to me what happens when she has complex partial seizures and that she still can walk around and do things but she just blankly stares and doesn't remember any of it when she comes to. I sometimes find my self in school not knowing where I am or how I walked there or while watching a movie and not rembering any of what's going on, I also have been told by some friends that during class I will just randomly stare off in space and not talk for a bit as though I'm day dreaming. Up until now I (along with all those around) have just written it off as me being shy and not fully paying attention but after hearing what my mom has said it worries me.
Also how exactly does a EET work and how can that diagnos epilepsy if someone isn't having a seizure when they are being tested with it. And I don't want to say anything about it to my parents because our medical bills are already so high because of my mothers disabilities. What should I do?
Could I have epilepsy?

I understand this may not be too helpful advice based on your question, but I work in the NHS in the UK (not as a doctor) but I know that the internet is a very dangerous place to diagnose personal issues and you should seek medical attention from a doctor, one-on-one.
If you do not feel the doctor's advice is sound, you can always seek a second opinion or ask to be referred to a specialist in said field of study (highly advised).
*Do not worry yourself!*
Stress can cause untold issues--personally, stress caused me to lose half a stone in weight, come down with cold-like symptoms, palms sweating, chills then overly hot, irritability, fear and finally I slept for 12 hours one day. Days later whenever I worried about my issues, my nose would start running and I would feel shivers.
The point is, the body shuts down when over-exerted as a natural protection and you might not have an issue, but due to your current surroundings, the love and empathy you feel for your families plight, is that it, in-turn, is causing you psychosomatic symptoms.
Finally, medical expenses are a burden I'm sure, but your health and that of your family is the most singularly important thing you have. It's alright having money, but if you are not alive to enjoy it... you catch my drift... forget the money issues, seek Medical advice from a professional before it's too late.
My regards to your family and you, I hope you receive good news.
