Could I get pregnant two week after intercourse? In between those two weeks I got my period?

This is kind of confusing to explain so bear with me here and get a calculator if you need. Most women have a normal 28 day cycle. So for the sake of simplicity and the fact that it's February we'll say that your period is set to start on February 28th. 14 days before your period is when you ovulate so you are set to ovulate on February 14. The two days before as well as the two days after the date of ovulation you are still fertile, meaning the egg is in a position to be found by the sperm. So that means that February 12 & 13 (the two days before ovulation) as well as February 15 & 16 you could still get pregnant. Then you add in the two days before your first fertile day which would be February 12 because sperm can live inside of you for 24-48 hours. Meaning if you have unprotected sex on February 10th or 11th the sperm can live inside your body and be there when the ovulation cycle begins on the 12th and could attach to the egg. Just a quick recap, 14 days before your cycle, two days after that, four days before that you can get pregnant. So out of the month there is one full week that protection is needed to avoid an unplanned pregnancy.
