Costume appropriate?

For Halloween I'm planning on being a zombie, and at school we're supposed to wear our Halloween costumes.

Would it be appropriate to have stitches drawn on my face for the costume, and would fake blood be okay?

My school is from Kindergarten to Grade 8

I would not do that, the reason why is because some schools might see that as too realistic. This in turn can cause some distress within the younger people in your school. To be safe, I would just avoid the stitches on your face, and probably go for a better decaying makeup.

I think stitches are fine, but the fake blood may be seen as too graphic. As long as the stitches are not too gross, I think it is fine.

I would talk to the principal if I were you. Let him/her know exactly what you want to do, and see what their opinion on the matter is. After all, they're the ones in charge of dress code and such!

Well... Technically speaking if they just said to wear your Halloween costume, it should be completely fine. So long as it doesn't go against obvious dress codes (I.E. tears in the groin area of pants, etc) it should be perfectly acceptable, unless they put a secondary note on it saying not too make it too graphic, but if that was never said then you should be good to go.
