Hey guys. I have a contraceptive implant in my arm. I got it put in two weeks ago while on my period... and Im still on my period! Its annoying and I was wondering if this is normal and what can I do about it?

It's completely normal. Unfortunately, irregular (fewer, longer, spotty) periods are common in the first 6-12 months. Some things that help:
You might want to get your blood tested just to make sure there are no hormonal or thyroid issues that might be causing this first. If irregular bleeding really does persist, consider changing your birth control - no one wants you to be miserable. You can also cut down on exercise, as that stress contributes to menstrual changes. Make use of relaxation techniques and even counseling for stress management. Finally, you can look into hormone therapy or surgery to fix your irregular cycles. Hope that helped!
