If a private company asks me to uncover my face on their premisise, am I legally obliged to do so? My gym wants me to remove my MC helmet but won't intruduce a writen policy confirming that all face coverings are banned on site. I mantain that this is cultural descrimination and refuse to remove my helmet until they have addressed the issue. Does anyone have any thoughts on this subject?

You are not legally obliged to do so at all BUT they are legally allowed to remove you from their premises if you refuse to do what they are telling you to do. It is not discrimination. If it went to a court of law you would most definitely and assuredly lose.
Why you want to wear your motorcycle helmet in a gym is beyond me anyway... that's just being an arse.
I'm not but my wife is, I asked her opinion.
Well morally it is without question descrimination. She maybe right legally but I would add; they have no written policy, they have no singnage and they seem to think face veils are Islamic. I have of course informed them of their ignorance in this matter but they continue to keep their heads firmly buried in the sand. No matter what Iwill continue as I am. They have no security staff, they can't physically touch me and if they cancel my membership, I will expose their PC Fascism to the press. To be honest I want to aid security but why should I uncover my face if others are allowed to keep theirs covered? I would be interested to hear why your wife thinks it isn't descrimination.
I don't wear it in the gym, I wear it between the front door and the changing room. How can it not be descrimination, when I have an email from the management team telling me that buqas, hijabs & naqabs are acceptable face coverings. It is descrimination. are you a solicitor?
