When I open up a folder or attempt to save or download anything from the internet or even just right click something my computer or just that program freezes up. I have checked and it isnt a virus or a ram problem and I have plenty of space on my hard drive so I have no idea what to do.

I would suggest that you run SFC scan on the computer which would scan for corrupt system files on the computer and replace them.

If the above step fails then you will need to backup data and reinstall Windows.
*Disclaimer: Formatting the hard drive will wipe out ALL data, programs and user settings that you have on the computer. If there is any information on this computer that you do not want to lose, or is not backed up, you will need to make backups before proceeding with the FORMAT/CLEAN INSTALL.
