Well, the matter on hand obviously was taxation but first and foremost, the lifestyle of George the Third was quite ...extravagant and since life in the colonies was quite hard, this led to a lot of conflict. The biggest advantage of the Americans was the great distance between them and London. The same was true for Indie but an existing land route, plastered with other colonies, makes supply roads way easier.
