I am wondering how to go about making mashed potatoes for a lunch party
After peeling then boiling potatoes and mashing them in butter, I was wondering what would be the advantage/disadvantage of using coconut milk over regular milk. Aside from slight change in the taste, does this have any effect on the creaminess of the mash? I am aware that coconut milk is much higher in fat (so that could matter in how the potatoes turn out?).
I watched several videos on people who use coconut milk in their mashed potatoes but they never made a case for why it's more effective than regular milk (other than it being Vegan or having the sweeter tinge). Please let me know what you think.
