It s a fast song for dancing to, and just strings as far as i remember, and sounded kinda Russian. I also once saw a video on youtube set in the 1920s or 30s where this girl in a white dress dances to this song with a dude in a black suit, rather fast and kind of staccato-like. It really fits the music-style. The rhythm throughout the whole song was something like: XOOXXOXO where X is a note and O is a pause. This 8-pattern lasts about 1-2 seconds and repeats. (might be wrong about this) my vague memory tells me that the 4 notes in that pattern are base-fifth-octave-fifth, but this might also be wrong. The melody (not that pattern) is played by a single very high violin.
Sorry that this is not much information. Any suggestions as to what this might be?
