... would like me to go into music for his glory so I started 2 yrs ago. The band at my church started a year ago and i joined only to sit, playing in the pew alone for 8 month. Now that im up on stage with everyone else its a little better but now i feel there's conflict between me and the lead guitarist(pastor's daughter). I haven't been playing as long so im labeled as the back-up and her the lead. The pastor(music leader) allows two pianists but only wants one guitar so i barley play. Now that wier learning newer songs they both decided I play all the old ones and she gets to play all the new ones since im just the back-up and they tell everyone that im her back-up. God spoke to me in your message on not settling for good enough(second best). would it be better in god's eyes to look else where for what god has promised me or stay at that church and stick with being second best until his heart moves,or if it dous that what he's doing isnt right
Christianity - Im 18 I had a question on how to react to this situation, its been on heart that God?

The answer to this is between God + you.
You need to pray / talk +listen to Him.
Some things you may consider:
* Are you happy at this church?
*Do you feel playing backup is fulfilling in
'Playing for His glory ?'
*Would you rather play lead in order to
'Play for Him'
*Have you spoken to your pastor + told him
you don't want to play backup anymore. Ask
if its possible both guitarists could play
together ?
*You will need to make a decision - but follow
your heart +your beliefs!
God Bless !
Stella u have s good point.Talking it over
/ praying to God about what He is trying to
