I'm looking to start property renovation, after doing the last 2 houses I've owned I've got quite a taste for it! With the new(ish) stamp duty rules in UK it would now mean id be paying alot more in stamp duty with it being deemed a 2nd property. I was planning on setting up a Limited company and the company would then own the property as an asset.
I then thought about setting up a 2nd company that bought all the goods I neededselling these to company 1 that owned the property, meaning I could claims the VAT back on the goods sold.
Does this all sound legitimate and legal? Last people you want to underpay is HMRC!
