Hello.
About a week ago I rescued a stray cat when I found her wandering around and almost getting hit by a car. What's strange is she is extremely friendly, but when I looked around nobody was missing her. She had a hole in her side which we believe to be an abscess. It doesn't seem to bother her and it's been healing. We cannot bring her inside since my dad is VERY allergic, but she hangs around in our backyard and her box is kept up on our back balcony along with her food and water. We believe she is around 4 or 5 months old.
Anyways, yesterday evening I found a rodent that she had killed. It had been dead for quite a while, since it's back was torn open from the bugs. When I picked it up in a bag, a huge swarm of ants came pouring out of its back.
Earlier today, I heard a thump noise outside. I didn't think much of it, but not too long ago when I went to check up on my kitty I found that she had killed a little brown bat. She didn't try eating it or anything, but it did have some blood on its tummy fur and flies had already started laying eggs. I picked it up in a bag and threw it away.
However, I am starting to fear that killing these animals, especially the bat, will be harmful. People have said that bats have rabies.
Is she in danger?

it would be hard to keep her away from things like that unless you keep her indoors i would say you should take her to get a rabie shot there there not to much money but if you could you should have a vet check her but i am so glad you saved her thankyou and God bless you
Thanks. She's left us many surprises. :) She seems to be doing alright... I don't think anything's wrong with her now. How much to vet check ups cost?
