Cars - I have a 1970 ford maverick that has no motor or transmission. I was wondering what I should?

...  put in it. People say a 302 but idk what kind or year I need to get and then what transmission I need that goes good with that motor. Will any 302 fit ? And if not what do I need?

302 is a good fit. powerful little motor for a small car like the Maverick. Just make sure the transmission can handle the torque
