I have worked in many retail stores from low to high end brands as a part timer while I was schooling and I have graduated from school in Business and somewhere in April I was working in one of the mid-end store as a full timer for a month and it was 12 hours shift and the company doesn't provide that many benefits. I'm thinking of switching to becoming a police officer(armed)(of course starting at junior rank) because of the benefits and the pay. Only thing is that I still have to work 12 hours and shift/overnight work and complete my IPPT. I'm completely okay with overnight shift because during the day I can attend 1-2 hours of short courses or take part time courses to extend my skills and still provide some money for my family. I'm going for the walk-in interview tomorrow, what can I say to ensure I secure a job in this position? I know that being a police is not easy as your job is saving the world/ensure the safety of the people in the eyes of the public and you need to be physically and mentally prepared for all of this. But at one point i'm worried if the interviewer will ask me, whats the sudden change from being a retailer to becoming a police? Anyways I don't intend to stay as a police officer as lifelong career but only for 2 years as I still want to continue my full-time studies in the future.
