I can't find a video game. It's a strategy turn based i believe war game
you have to build machines to kill your enemy and take over there base...
When you are on the world map everything is smooth and like a map where the roads and strongholds are! But when you are building machines and fighting the battles it becomes a Side scrolling pixel style game. Please help me. I cant find it and I have been looking for hours

command and conquer? seems exactly what you are describing birds eye view of the map.. build bases and armies to destroy the opposing team. I mean there are a few games that take on this approach. Halo wars for instance... but based on the info you stated i would say an earlier generation of command and conquer.
