I want to buy this Google chrome extension and I want to share it with my friend. And in the policies of the extension it says "our product can be used by up to five devices on one IP address at any one time. This product cannot be used on two different IP addresses at any one time. If a copy of our product is attempted to be used on more than one IP address at any time, your copy will become void and unusable without refund.". I was wondering if you guys think they will catch me if I send the extension to my friend or they are just scaring me so I don't share it. thanks!!

"They" won't catch you but the program will. It will know if it is being used on a different IP address and shut down both... it may even send your IP address to the developers to let them know you've violated the terms and conditions before shutting itself down permanently.
Possibly, but it's far far more likely the program will simply cease to function because of the violation. I cannot see them knocking on your door to demand justice :)
Thank you!
Thank you!
So they will most probably catch me?
