Okay I'm right on money and don't need my Sephora gift card which has 20 dollars on it, I wanted to know if I can just go in ask them to give cash back from the card?

Doesn't expire, and both the balance and transaction history can be checked online or in any Sephora store.
So no, you can't exchange the gift card for cash.
