The person is not a member of the family and is visiting my Father, who is not in a position to speak for himself. My mother does not want this person anywhere near him.

all you have to do depending on the reason that she doesn't want this person to see him all you have to do is talk to the floor he is on and let them know that you don't want this person comming in to see your dad your mom can even tell them but if she talked to them with you attending the conference you could put a stop to it just got to let them know what you would like to happen
