The Ford Vulcan V6 is a 3.0 L (2,986 cc (182.2 cu in)), 60° V6 engine with a cast iron block and iron heads, used in some of Ford Motor Company's vehicles from model years 1986 through 2008. It was originally designed to be the optional engine in the Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable.
Or in other words I done some reserch hoping to be able tell you, "yes" you, can put a 3.0 engine in a 1986 Toyota mr2, however from my reserch I had to look up bothe differnt typs of 3.0 engine and also, I went onto a Toyota specalist website. I think from what only I could find, Toyota you are asking about will only be compatible with "1.6L 1587CC 14 GAS DOHC N"
So unfortunatly I think no.
