I haven't had any trauma but as I'm doing things I notice my brain skips over things and confuses words. I get very confused and frustrated so I'm trying to figure it out.

I seriously have the same problem. Growing up I wasn't the most avid reader but in my later years I've needed jobs where paperwork is crucial and my dyslexia seems to have only kicked in during my 20s. I was wondering as well. My only explanation was that my brain through stress can only work so hard. Once it hits a certain peak I lose words and mix them often repetitively. Even just saying things out loud have become a hassle. My advice is to slow down your train of thought and just take your time. It helped me take control of already the reading portion.
