Can truck drivers take passengers?

yea they do that all the time i have seen where a girlfriend or wife travels with their husband sometimes the kids go along but they do travel together all the time sometimes if the company that the driver is with they can take a helper to load and unload the truck as where they take it to has no problem with the fact they have passenger they just want their load of stuff
