... omegle text chat (spy mode). I've been doing research and some people say your IP on omegle can only be seen on Video chat, and not on text because the computers are not directly connected, but then other people say it is possible either way. Some people even said they've had someone figure out their IP address via Omegle text chat. I'm not sure if it's the same with the spy mode. The reason I feel unsafe about this situation is that a few years back I had an experience on one of the local chatrooms where a person did not only found out my city by my IP, but also my exact neighborhood. I'm not sure if there is a difference with omegle and how hard would it be for someone to track my IP down to my actual street address. Would they have to get on omegle server first? This person sounded very serious and psychotic. Please answer
